I was making tong sui (means dessert in Cantonese but if it’s translated directly, it means ‘sugar water’) two days ago. I keep my sugar and salt in the fridge and they are next to each other. Somehow I think I was dreaming and I accidentally put salt instead of sugar into the dessert! I had no choice but to pour the dessert down the drain. Sigh…
