The Club Med Experience

Club Med has been perceived as an expensive and exclusive holiday for the rich. It is quite difficult to find information on what to expect because there are not many blogs about Club Med.  After visiting several Club Med resorts, here’s my experience.

Everything is FREE!

The Club Med “all-inclusive” package includes accommodation, meals, drinks, activities such as sailing, archery, tennis, flying trapeze as well as nightly entertainment, so there is no worry about spending more on your holiday.

Just book your holiday and enjoy a stress-free experience. With the number of parties and activities lined up, you could easily spend your entire holiday in Club Med.

You will never end up hungry at Club Med. Three international buffets meals are served daily with plenty of live stations and dishes that change every day. In between meals, snacks are available at the bar area.

Certain Club Med resorts has fine-dining restaurants. Be sure to check the availability and book in advance. All meals are complimentary.

It’s Family Friendly

Club Med is popular with families. Children enjoy complimentary Kids Club activities and gives the parents time for themselves to enjoy the holiday. Club Med GOs (Gentle Organisers) have various activities planned for the kids and caters to a wide age group.

The GOs

At Club Med, guests are known as GMs (Gentle Member) and the friendly staffs are known as GOs (Gentle Organisers). They welcome you, guide you, help in the operations during the day and make you feel at home. Come night, they turn into performers, participating in theatre shows, leading dances and essentially making sure everyone has a good time.

The GO team comprises a diverse range of nationalities, working together harmoniously. This means you could be from anywhere in the world and somebody will speak your language here.

The GOs are led by the enthusiastic CDV (Chef de Village), the person responsible for managing the resort. The key difference from normal resorts is the CDV is involved with everything. From welcoming you at the restaurant to being the MC of events to the leading of the dances to the running of the resort.

Different Theme Parties Every Night

Besides being family-friendly fun, Club Med has a totally different side. Their famous parties. Every night, there is a dress color code (Jeans night, Elegant night, All White) and a different party theme – Garden Party, Beach Party, Bar Party, Pool Party….etc.

The night starts with a theatre show or acrobatic performance. After that, the GOs will lead you in dance (Crazy Sign) and try to get everyone involved. The party continues with unlimited drinks, live music, dancing and playful atmosphere. Everything gels together to ensure you have a good time every night.
