Ibis Styles at Fraser Business Park is the second Ibis Styles hotel to open in Kuala Lumpur. I managed to get a free room during their 888 free rooms promotion and stayed there recently.

The Ibis Styles Fraser Business Park offers 500 rooms and located nearby to Chan Sow Lin LRT Station and Viva Shopping Mall. The hotel is connected to the new Complex Metro Pudu, which certain parts is not completed yet. The lift lobby entrance from the car park to hotel had lights dangling by the wires and floor tiles on another lift lobby was done half way.
The hotel how offers a restaurant, a bar, four meeting rooms, a swimming pool and a gym. Accommodation comes with buffet breakfast and complimentary Wi-Fi.
During my stay, there were large Chinese group checking in that filled the entire lobby area. The hotel should consider a different area for group check-ins. Also the Wi-Fi connection was slow and had intermittent connection problems.

Each room comes with a queen size bed and a day bed. There is an LCD TV with satellite channels. The shower area might be uncomfortable for some people as it’s separated from the room by a frosted glass. One can easily see the silhouette of the other person.
The room at Ibis Styles Fraser Park comes with a clock that has an iPod dock that you can charge and listen to music from your iPod or iPhone. This was a pleasant surprise as even some 4-5 star hotels don’t even have this.

Tea and coffee making facilites together with a mini fridge is also available in the room. A mini safe is located in the closet area behind the tv. Overall the room is complete and comfortable.
I have stayed in a few Ibis hotels in Europe and Asia, and Ibis Styles Fraser Park is one of the nicer ones and has a bigger room compared to others.
Breakfast was well organised with groups using the bar area and FIT guest using the restaurant area. The buffet breakfast mainly consist of local dishes including nasi lemak, fried noodles, congee and sayur lodeh. Baked beans, toast, cereals and juices were also available.
The car park of the hotel is shared with Complex Metro Pudu so there is no fixed rate. During my stay, I parked my car for 10 hours plus and paid RM5. It would be good if the hotel is able to provide a fix rate for guest.
In summary, I would recommend Ibis Styles Fraser Business Park for those with a low-mid budget and looking for a comfortable stay. It has an ideal location which is just 5-10 minutes to Bukit Bintang and KLCC and with Chan Sow Lin LRT station is nearby, guest can easily hop on the LRT to many other places in the city.
